Jogo americano Marrom feito com migalhas de tecidos

Supostamente esta semana eu deveria ter iniciado a união de  alguns blocos cujas coleções foram  feitas durante o ano para o Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Isto é o esperado de todas as participantes do desafio nos meses de Novembro e Dezembro.

Ao invés disso e por não ter conseguido terminar o jogo americano que estava fazendo em Outubro para o Table Scraps Challenge. Toda minha atenção estava voltada para ele.

Escolhi o tecido para o forro, montei o sanduíche, alfinetei  fiz o acolchoamento, refilei e costurei o viés de fechamento (binding).


O topo foi montado com 145 migalhas de tecidos em diversos tons de marrom acrescidos de algumas pitadas cor de rosa. Sugestivamente algo que nos lembre das delícias feitas com chocolate e morango.



O acolchoamento em semi círculos foi feito na máquina de costura Bela-Singer usando o walking foot.





No forro usei um tecido floral e para o fechamento usei um tecido listrado, branco e café com leite.


Tamanho final: 17" X 12"

Ivani, your crumb placemats have been turning out just great! Some strawberry with the chocolate was a perfect idea. I really love that photo of the whole set!

Your set of placemats look wonderful, and I love the way you have quilted them. I have done spiral quilting before but never thought of doing a half circle like yours on a smaller project. Well done!
