O inverno já nos visitou em meados de Outono.
Eu particularmente não gosto de frio.
Qualquer temperatura abaixo de 15ºC para mim já é algo desconfortável, abaixo de 10ºC já começa a ser muito desagradável e quando beira Zero grau então é insuportável. E esta semana uma massa polar intensa associada a um ciclone chegou por aqui.
Minha casa não tem calefação nem aquecimento central e o fogão a lenha mal dava conta de aquecer a água.
Mesmo assim,eu agradecia por ter uma casa para me abrigar. Muitas pessoas vivem na rua nas grandes cidades e o inverno é impiedoso.
No momento o sol está brilhando mas está tendo muito trabalho para conseguir aquecer o ar, no momento 9ºC.
Dizem os especialistas que à partir de Terça Feira esta massa de ar polar vai perder força e as temperaturas tendem a subir.
Como hoje é Domingo,estamos celebrando nossas artes manuais,feitas com agulha.
Tenho 18 blocos de assinatura do projeto Love Quilts Brasil para bordar o nome das crianças, durante a semana bordei alguns.
O projeto Love Quilts Brasil monta colchas com blocos bordados em ponto cruz, no tema escolhido pela criança e blocos em patchwork, cada acolchoado tem um bloco de assinatura com o nome da criança. Os blocos bordados e os blocos em patchwork são feitos por voluntárias espalhadas pelo Brasil e por diversos países,sim, tem gente de bom coração por todo este Mundo, graças a Deus! Outras 3 voluntárias,incluindo eu, preparam os blocos e tecidos para que os kits sejam então enviados para a confecção,que é paga.

That weather sounds very cold to not have central heating! Hope it warms up soon! Maybe you need to be hand quilting a large project to keep you warm! ENjoy your hand stitching today!
Cold weather gets to me too. My legs start freezing up. Great progress on the
Love Quilts Brazil project. Hoping you can keep warm while stitching!
You would not want to visit Canada in the winter...
Such a worthwhile project--the children will love that their quilts are personalized.

It is funny how humans with the same biology everywhere, feel comfortable in different temperatures. 10 - 15C is fine for me. I start feeling cold when it drops below 10. But people from places like Canada would probably find that funny.
That is quite cold when you don't have central heating. I bet you stick close to the wood stove. You have been working hard on all those beautiful signature blocks for such a wonderful cause. Stay warm.
Ohhh I would definitely have to pull out the quilts!!

That polar air mass must make life very cold indeed, keep inside and keep mwarm! The embroidered labels you put on the gifted quilts make them very special indeed.
So kind to the embroidery kids' names on the blocks. it is a great pleasure to make others happy.
Let's hope you can keep the house warm with the wood stove. We also have cold winters in Norway where I live, but we have electric heaters in addition to wood stoves. Now summer is approaching here in the north.
I hope you have a very nice warm up since last weekend. It should be summer her, but we had lows in the 40s (F) this week. You've gotten a lot done on those labels. Happy stitching this week.
