Mais bordado livre

Como contei pra vocês semana passada, várias mulheres em minha família bordavam.

Hoje, quero mostrar pra vocês um bordado que está comigo há pelo menos 41 anos foi um presente que ganhei, feito por uma prima da minha mãe, Irene,  que  faleceu há mais de 20 anos atrás.

É uma toalha de mesa pequena, retangular, mede 116cm x 90cm (aproximadamente 45,5" X  35,5") com cerejas. O mesmo padrão, com 3 folhas em ponto haste, 2 raminhos em ponto cheio e 5 cerejas - não sei o nome do ponto com que as cerejas foram bordadas - se repete  18 vezes: 1 em cada canto, 4 no centro e outras 10 nas bordas.  

O ponto usado nas cerejas parece ser um tipo cobertura em grade ou rede iniciado com Ponto Atrás contornando o desenho e que é totalmente trabalhado pelo direito, vejam como no avesso só aparece os pontos do contorno. 

O avesso não é perfeito, mas mostro aqui para vocês terem uma ideia de como cada cereja foi bordado. Se alguém souber o nome do ponto usado nestas cerejas, me diga, por favor.

Mesmo com manchas de uso, que não consegui remover, esta toalha também faz parte das preciosidades que guardo com muito carinho.

Durante a semana mais alguns pontos foram acrescentados ao bordado livre  que estou fazendo. Tem sido divertido bordar pontos diferentes.

Pontos utilizados até o momento: Ponto Atrás, Corrente Invertida, Nó Francês, Ponto Caseado (Blanket), Nó Francês Alongado, Ponto Mosca (Fly Stitch), Ponto Cheio, Ponto Margarida, Ponto Sombra, Ponto Haste, Ponto Palestrina, Ponto Estrela, Ponto Corrente (cabo), Ponto Haste com nó Português.

Hoje é Domingo, mas hoje não  pegarei na agulha. Estamos indo para a casa de nosso filho,  para celebrarmos 1 ano de vida de nosso neto. Parece que foi outro dia que contei pra vocês que ele tinha nascido.

I cannot believe your it's your grandson's first birthday. My goodness that year has flown by! Have a wonderful celebration. More beautiful embroidery on your Believe project. Those cherries are fascinating. I don't think I have seen an embroidery stitch like this before.

Time passes so quickly, happy birthday to your grandson! That table cloth is beautiful. I think the stitch could be a spiral trellis stitch? I did something similar on a butterfly wing. Loving your believe embroidery too. Sarah quilting by the sea

Happy 1st Birthday to your grandson. My that time went by quickly. I love that pretty tablecloth that you have from a relative. I have no idea how those cherries were made, but they are quite pretty.

Happy birthday to your grandson! Can't believe he's 1 year already, time passes so quickly. The embroidery on the tablecloth is amazing. My late mother and grandmother used to embroider, but I've never seen anything like the stitches on the cherries. Very pretty they are, and so are your stitchery Ivani!
