Maio passou voando! E as temperaturas baixas por aqui insistem em nos lembrar que o inverno está oficialmente chegando. A maioria das árvores continuam verdes. Por aqui, o Outono - essa mistura de dias quentes e dias frios não alteram tanto a cor das paisagens.
Foram só 15 dias na praia, e sinceramente eu gostaria que tivesse sido muito mais, mas, compromissos agendados fizeram com que fosse preciso retornar para as montanhas logo. Claro que isto impactou minha produção. Mas tudo bem, afinal a vida é pra ser vivida e temos que curtir e aproveitar todos as oportunidades.
Durante Maio continuei fazendo unidades Indian Hatchet como Leander & Enders, utilizando quadrados de 2,5 polegadas e triângulos coloridos de diversos tamanhos e cores, seguindo o tutorial feito por Gretchen.
28 unidades foram acrescentadas a coleção.
Não consegui terminar os blocos de migalhas. Algumas partes foram unidas e 2 blocos precisam ser refilados, e ainda hoje pretendo usar tudo que for possível e fazer mais alguns blocos usando os micro retalhos laranja.
Para este mês, Angela repetiu a cor Azul escuro/ Azul vibrante de Janeiro. E sugeriu que poderíamos usar retalhos verdes claros, cor que também já usei em Março. Peguei os retalhos florais azul com 2,5" que sobraram... a maioria azul claro e celeste. Consegui fazer 7 blocos zip.
Não sei ainda como farei com as demais coleções de blocos que estou fazendo este ano...

It would be lovely to spend that time at the beach - your views are always so beautiful! The hatchet blocks look so fun - I imagine your collection of those is growing. I love the zip blocks, too! Have a good sewing day today, Ivani!
Orange is not my color but those crumb blocks look really happy and fun. If you don't want to do more blue, you could always go for neutrals, black or brown. Might be a nice change of pace. Stay warm!

I imagine being at the beach was nice - where you live in the mountains are you at high elevation making your winters cold?

The sound of the water lapping against the land, watching the tide ebb and flow, smelling the scent of salt in the air. . .so relaxing! Such beautiful shots of your beach.
