Sou muito grata a Deus por ter colocado 2 projetos maravilhosos em minha vida: Love Quilts Brasil e Quadradinhos de Amor São Paulo. Aprendi muito com eles e com certeza ainda tenho muito que aprender enquanto bordo ponto cruz, faço blocos de patchwork e faço crochê ou tricô.
Durante a semana que passou a Manta Ondas ficou pronta!

Mais uma pronta para aquecer
algum idoso que reside em um
asilo.
Fiz mais algumas carreiras na Manta com os Quadradinhos da Vovó on point, que atualmente está assim.
Hoje é Domingo e após o almoço pretendo fazer mais algumas carreiras.
Arrumando o baú dos UFO's encontrei estes bordados Bluework , do SAL Cozy Afternoon que foram feitos em 2015. Dá pra acreditar?
Mostrei aqui o Bloco 3 e o Bloco 5 .
Em 2016 com o bloco teste, fiz um
Mug Rug que uso até hoje e está em perfeito estado.
Desde Abril que eu não brincava com retalhos. Depois que fiz máscaras para a família nunca mais costurei. Hora de dar vida novamente aos retalhos!
Desta vez os retalhos e tiras azuis estão sendo transformados em String blocks.
Notem que tem diversos tons de azul, do azul celeste até o azul marinho, e retalhos com larguras variadas sendo os mais estreitos com 1 polegada.
E assim, o primeiro bloco ficou pronto!
Durante a semana espero dar continuidade.
O bordado simples em Blackwork, que comentei com vocês semana passada, rapidamente ficou pronto.
Usei as linhas:
DMC 666 - vermelho
DMC 699 - verde
ANCHOR 1213 varigated verde para fazer a moldura
É uma tentativa de entrar no clima natalino.
Próximo passo: transformá-lo em uma decoração
Confesso que não está sendo fácil, tenho assistido pelo menos 1 filme de Natal por dia pra dar uma refrescada nas preocupações e distrair a cabeça das más notícias sobre a pandemia e de como ela tem sido administrada. Infelizmente vários estados incluindo a região onde moro voltaram para a fase amarela, com restrições numa tentativa de conter a propagação.
Muita gente circulando, aglomerações, muita gente que insiste em não usar máscara, muita gente cansada da situação imposta pela pandemia ... e, enquanto isso o vírus continua circulando e os números subindo.
Continuo em casa e rezando para que a vacina escolhida pelo governo seja eficiente e que tenhamos paciência e saúde para aguardar até Abril, no melhor dos prognósticos.
Enquanto isso sigamos fazendo a nossa parte e que possamos tirar desta situação toda o melhor aprendizado.

What is the on-point crochet project? I looks like what we call granny squares, but I've never seen it on-point.

The afghan is going to bring much joy to a person who needs some love in their life. The blue strings for the cozy afternoon embroideries are perfect, so cute! I try very hard not to dwell on the pandemic. Fortunately for us as farmers, we don't have much of a social life anyway. We wear masks whenever we venture off the farm and avoid crowds. What grocery shopping I do is at 6am! Stay safe and focus on trying to make life pleasant for someone else. Happy stitching!

All your projects are lovely, that afghan is beautiful and someone will be very happy and grateful to receive it. It's good that we have our crafting projects to help keep our minds off the pandemic.
Your blue work embroider and patchwork squares are so charming. And your afghan blankets for charity are beautiful. I think when giving things like this, the beauty is as much of a gift as the warmth of the blanket or quilt itself.

I smile at the thought of a beautiful person who is warmed by the love that you have shown them in creating for them a gorgeous crochet blanket which they can wrap around themselves. This is a gift of love in the purest form. Love all those happy blue scraps that you are playing with; so very pretty. These are difficult times but if we keep on creating with our hands and our hearts, then we will get through each day.
