Sempre gostei muito da cor azul e Azul foi a cor escolhida por Angela para usarmos no desafio Rainbow Scrap Challenge, em Abril.
Como este ano o mês de Abril teve 4 Sábados, e 5 semana, e como Sábado passado eu já havia terminado os blocos que estou fazendo para as coleções de blocos de 2021. Esta semana fiz algo diferente.
Algumas vezes precisamos fazer algo sem muitas regras, para preencher o tempo, arejar a mente e relaxar. E ter o poder de transformar pequenos retalhos que poderiam ir para o lixo em uma peça utilizável é realmente compensador.
Foi assim que resolvi unir todos estes pequenos retalhos na cor azul, que estavam se acumulando no decorrer dos anos.
O que fiz com eles?
26 tiras medindo 11,5cm X 33cm - algumas com alguns centimetros a mais e outras com 1 cm a menos, no comprimento. (4,5" X 13")
Estas tiras serão unidas, no comprimento e serão usadas como bordas em quilts do projeto Love Quilts Brasil.
Na Quinta Feira a noite vi o anúncio de Angela informando que a cor para o mês de Maio é Vermelho.
Estes são os retalhos com os quais estarei fazendo meus blocos para o desafio RSC-21 à partir de hoje.
Nem sempre o que temos pra mostrar é um trabalho pronto, ou uma nova coleção de blocos, assim é hoje, mostro pra vocês a matéria prima que estarei usando e mesmo assim estou feliz por estar aqui compartilhando com vocês.

I am still working on my blue applique block but will prep the red block maybe next week - this week I must work on my red stars and 36 patch to get them done. I have to get my box of red out to play with
What a great plan to use your extra blues as borders! Perfect way to use what you have and turn it into beautiful finished projects. Looks like you are ready for red.
