E lá se foi Janeiro, último Domingo e penúltimo dia do mês iniciando. E tantos projetos manuais acabaram ficando para trás este mês.
Esta semana mais alguns pontinhos foram acrescentados a mantinha de bebê, a maioria deles na cor amarela e verde escuro.
Atualmente o painel central está assim.
Muito ainda por bordar, mas seguindo com pequenos progressos.
Iniciei também o acolchoamento à mão no centro de mesa com as rosetas vermelho e branca.
Estou usando a linha Corrente, 100% algodão glace, especial para quilting a mão.
Usei a tampa da cola em bastão como molde e a lapiseira Bohim com giz verde claro para fazer as marcações. Seria bem mais prático fazer a marcação usando régua com círculos vazados, preciso comprar outra dessas, pois a minha desapareceu.
Atualmente o trabalho está colocado em um bastidor de 16" (40 cm), mas já estou aqui pensando e sem saber como farei quando chegar nas rosetas das bordas do centro de mesa. Alguma sugestão?
Preciso também decidir como acolchoar os 6 hexágonos da roseta que formam as pétalas.
Para hoje, neste Domingo preguiçoso, chuvoso e com clima ameno pretendo bordar o nome do bebê em um dos barrados que fiz para as fraldinhas de boca.

Your red and white hexagons look so good!
I like the idea of using the glue cap for your quilting template. Perhaps you can baste a scrap piece of fabric on the edges so you can still use the hoop. Your cross-stitch is looking great!

Your cross stitch is coming along nicely. When I hand quilted the edge of my Hexie quilt in a hoop the wadding and backing where quite a bit bigger than the top so everything stayed in place. You could add some waste fabric around the edge. But I am no expert!

A lovely hexie project to quilt! Like Cathie already said, I would baste a scrap strip around the edge you are quilting and when that side is done, remove the strip and baste it to the next side. Enjoy!
The red and white hexie project is so pretty! I think the circles in the centers for hand quilting are perfect. Every stitch on the baby design is progress, too!

Those red and white hexies are fabulous. How pretty they look. I too, would baste a scrap of fabric to the edge. I look forward to seeing the baby blanket finished. Not long now till the exciting day you are a grandmother, Ivani. I hope your neck is feeling better♡
Very good you are able to make progress on baby blanket. Red and white stripe hexies are perfect. I vote for adding a scrap fabric (maybe with batting) along the edges as previously suggested. It’ll be worth the extra step.
Good progress on both the cross stitch and the red hexies. The hexies look go good, love all those reds.
