I love reading blogs from other countries - it is a challenge at times because the translator doesn't always do a good job and you know that some words didn't translate right. I read one from Spain and one from the Netherlands and Japan also. Sometimes it is funny I will tell my husband what the translator said and say I bet it means ---
Dear Ivani, I'm sorry to not be able to write in portuguese.
I love your string blocks, and what a great use of the old phonebook ;)) These tiny stars are very cute, it's going to be a beautiful table runner.
Thank you for linking up today ;)
Friendship stars are so fun - especially in a tiny size. Your string blocks look great and I can't wait to see how you put them all together later this year. Wishing you a peaceful and healthy week.
Your string blocks are just great, Ivani! I really like the way you're making a couple each month with a color transition. Those Friendship Stars will make a neat tabletopper, too!
quilting is a universal language - great reds this week
I am so grateful for Google translate. I can muddle through some Portuguese, but it’s nice to check my understanding. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy! Your strings are so pretty.
love your string blocks! and ready for the next color!
I’m anxious to see the string blocks, also! Love your tiny friendship stars! Thank goodness for the translate button on Blogger! I would miss being able to read about what you are doing! Be well!
Lovely string blocks, and what a good idea to make transition blocks too.
Your friendship stars are going to be pretty too, but this is where Google translate failed when translating into English! Never mind, I'm sure you'll show them next week and then we'll know what you mean!
I guess we were the String Block Girls this week, Ivani! I love what you’re doing with the transition blocks. It’s always a joy to read your blog and your comments to us. The translator is so good that I forget we have a language difference. xo
Your red strings and stars are very nice. You'll probably be sewing the strings into charity quilts, they'll make lovely quilts. Happy stitching!
What pretty string blocks! I can't wait to see all the transitions from one color to the next. Friendship star is a good choice for a table runner!

The nice thing about blogging is being in contact with people in other countries! And google translator doesn't always get it right but it's not far off. Love your red blocks and I like the way your transition blocks are coming together.
I love string blocks of any kind. I like your idea of transition blocks and will look forward to how those all go together.
I always have good intentions of getting a table topper finished but so much for good intentions!
String blocks are always fun to make, and your little star blocks are so cute. Dont worry about the translation of words, I'm sure we all know what you mean to say. I am from New Zealand down in the southern ocean, so it is nice to read about life and sewing from different countries.
I love those little red friendship stars, and your string blocks are looking good.
I'm glad we have Google Translate. It isn't perfect, but it is so incredible when you think about what it enables us to do.
Great sting blocks and little stars - I love your crochet blankets too. xx
I really like how you are doing a couple blocks with old and new colors of the month, Ivani! I am looking forward to seeing how they will work together in your quilt. LOVE those sweet little RED blocks waiting to be sewn!!
I love seeing all your string blocks and those stars are gorgeous!
I enjoy trying to puzzle out the Portuguese first, then I hit the translate button to see if I guessed right. (My French is really rusty, but helpful!)
Hi Ivani, yes, thank goodness for that translation button - it's pretty amazing how it works! I love your string blogs and your small stars. They are lovely. Have a good week.
I love your Friendship Stars! I just made quite a few of those myself this last week for my daughter's wedding quilt.
Your string blocks are looking fabulous and the twinkling stars are nice, too. Isn't it wonderful how the computers let us discuss and share with quilters across the world? Even when the translations are imperfect, they are still miraculous in the way they let you understand what someone is saying in a language that you can't comprehend.
