Para o jogo americano (placemat) deste mês, verifiquei primeiramente se eu teria migalhas de tecidos * suficientes, na cor laranja.
Migalhas de tecidos são aqueles retalhos super pequenos. Estou guardando migalhas com menos de 1,5 polegadas e com no mínimo 3/4".
Acho sensacional a oportunidade de aproveitar estes retalhos tão pequenos que normalmente são jogados fora, transformando-os em algo único.
Peguei o zip-lock com os retalhos laranja e encontrei lá dentro alguns retalhinhos já costurados, provavelmente é uma sobra de quando fiz os blocos Sawtooth Star with Crumbs Strips durante o RSC 2017
Então, a diversão teve início. Comecei unindo um pequeno retalho a outro e acrescentando mais 1 ou 2, unindo um conjunto de migalhas a outro até atingir o tamanho desejado para o Jogo americano.
Como nos demais jogos americanos que fiz este ano com as migalhas o quilting foi feito em semi círculos, usando o walking foot na máquina de costura.
O tecido floral com detalhes em laranja foi escolhido para ser usado de forro, aproveito para mostrar o detalhe do quilting.
A textura final é perfeita para um jogo americano!
Tamanho final: 12,5" X 17" (31,5 X 43cm)
Quantidade de Migalhas utilizadas: 168
Tem uma menina aqui, que ficou muito feliz com o resultado!
